"Leave it up to me & you'll have nada to do." —Anastasia
Anastasia Koutalianos is a word tailor.
She crafts copy that evokes, inspires & transforms.
A collaborative spirit, she sketches, trims, sews & irons out ideas, concepts & manuscripts into fine tapestries, giving new life to tattered messages, story lines, voices & styles. Through dialogue & skill, she carefully chooses her textiles & dresses her clients in their ideal attire—ensuring they reach their audience, medium, market & purpose.
Anastasia fell into the world of words. A former research consultant for the resolution of Indian residential school abuse claims in Canada, she was knee-deep in a history often overlooked, writing reports for various legal streams. From here she would venture into the planning & promotion of events and the arts, playing both publicist & marketer. Beyond this, she has over ten years experience as a freelance writer & editor, & is the co-author of the cookbook, From the Olive Grove: Mediterranean Cooking with Olive Oil (Arsenal Pulp Press, 2010).
Anastasia has a French literature degree from the University of Toronto & later studied publishing in Vancouver, where she has copy edited & written for various magazines & online platforms. She is an active member of the Editors' Association of Canada, The Writers' Union of Canada and Toastmasters International.
Third person aside, I'm full of life, enthusiastic & love to work collaboratively to etch out the best way forward. Understanding what's needed is imperative, along with clear & concise copy is a must. Apart from that, my evaluations, comments & suggestions are honest, fair & constructive. My goal is to unearth your potential & bring it out for the world to see. Together, let's make a well-tailored word-robe!
